One of Movable Type's strength's has always been its long history of being a truly international product which is why Six Apart has offices not only in San Francisco, but also in Tokyo and Paris as well. During the past six weeks while the engineers have been working on the next version of Movable Type, our team of translators has been working on creating versions of Movable Type in Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Japanese.

With the release of MT4 RC1, those translations are finally ready and available for download. To change your preferred language, just edit your profile by clicking on your username found in the upper right corner of every screen. Then select the language you prefer and click the 'Save' button. And voila! Movable Type will start speaking another language.

Remember, we are not done yet, and our translators welcome any feedback you have. So if you spot a spelling error, or a funky, not-quite-right translation, please let us know.

I think it’s really good MT has a Dutch translation! Most foreign products only provide English support, and if they do offer other languages, Dutch is often not included. Good job!

Lars: Click in the text box and start typing in French/German/Swahili. Could you explain your question a bit more?

This is something you need to continue working on. Just remember the fact Wordpress has translations on more than 165 languages.

Couldn’t you just ask for help the community for translating Moveable type into different languages? It will happen faster and you will have a community which is closer to Six Apart more than ever.

You need to translated it to Scandinavian languages too. Many sites are written on Norwegian and Swedish.
