I find it terribly hilarious there is no entry for managing assets.
I was trying to rename some images and work with the descriptions I created when I uploaded.
I was unpleasantly surprised to see there is no way to rename, manage descriptions etc etc.
Look forward to seeing an improved interface in the next .1 release.

RE: Uploading Assets
I spent countless hours along with MT Support and my server System Admins trying to determine why MT 4.1 was giving a Server 500 error when uploading a simple, small .gif image. As it turned out, increasing memory allocation on the server to 100MB per process solved the problem.
What is odd about this behavior is that it appears it has something to do with the size of the .gif image. At 50px wide or smaller, upload worked fine. At 75px or greater, the failure occurs. Even more interesting is that .jpg and .png files work at any size.
I also have a MT 4.01 site running and have not experienced this behavior.
MT 4.1 is a memory hog! So, when all else fails with MT 4.1 causing unexplainable server errors, try upping your server memory allocation. I hope this will save some people some time.
