In the past there have been get-togethers for Movable Type enthusiasts in New York, San Francisco, Tokyo... but none in Europe yet! There has recently been some discussion about this on various mailing lists and several people indicated they would be interested in coming to or helping out at such an event.
In the hopes of making it easier to make this a reality, I have set up a wiki page on the Movable Type wiki where all European Movable Type enthusiasts can indicate their interest and/or offer to help. Suggestions for topics and activities are welcome too (and of course non-European Movable Type users as well).

Did this European meet up ever happen? I'd love to attend something like this if it happens again.

We are in 2012. Forget about meetings in Europe, USA or Japan. Make as many online podcasts and seminars as you can.

Europe is one of the best tourist destinations. It's got everything you could wish from the scenery point of view and also a lot of history and culture. I would love to get to travel there along with my blogger friends.

Coming to Europe good news indeed, but there really must be more online seminars and things like that. I think this will have a better effect

The wiki page for European Hackathon leads to the index page of documentation. Is it means you are not going to make another one for European users.

It would be great if you make a meeting in Europe. I will try my best to be there if it is in my range :)

No wiki page :( It seems that the project is abandoned.
